Vendor Questionnaire Enhancements

In my role as the product designer for this project, I collaborated closely with my project manager and key stakeholders to redesign the vendor questionnaires module within the application. This module enables our clients to send due diligence questionnaires to their vendors, helping them gather crucial information and assess potential risks.

MY Role

Lead designer in the redesign of the Questionnaires module in the application while working alongside one project manager, 3 developers, and 3 key stakeholders.

background

The Challenge

An existing questionnaire module was already present within the application, however it had limitations that users voiced frustrations on. After gathering concerns from discussions with frequent users in the Questionnaires module, we uncovered that sending questionnaires within the application was a time-consuming task, and often repetitive. The process involved navigating through numerous steps within the module and inputting data for lots of questionnaire recipients. This unnecessarily complicated the due diligence phase for our customers.

The Process

The Solution

It became clear that incorporating a bulk send feature into the Questionnaires module was essential to ease the burden of sending numerous questionnaires. To kickstart the implementation of this feature, we reevaluated the module. We found that categorizing vendors into different groups, such as critical and non-critical vendors, would streamline the due diligence process. This approach targeted specific vendor types, facilitating the distribution of tailored questionnaires.
